Scuba fins that look like they have a spring in the middle?
When I went diving in august there was a diver who had these awesome fins. They were all black and they were almost shaped like bow ties. In the very middle where the toes are, they had what looked to be springs or coils. Then the actual fin was attached to this "spring". If anyone has any idea as to what I’m talking about, I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance
My first guess from your description would be the Scubapro Seawing Nova fins.

My next guess would be the Aqua Lung Slingshot fins, but they look too much like a traditional fin to match your "bowtie" description that well.

One size fits all – Force Fin’s Comfort Instep
Force Fin’s Comfort Instep is a fleece lined foot pocket pad that cushions your foot against the fin while doubling the range of Force Fin sizes that fit your foot when using different footwear. For example a diver can use one pair pair of Force Fins for a wide variety of gear set ups – wet boots, drysuit and barefoot simply by adding or taking out the Comfort Instep.
