Where can I learn to Scuba Dive in UK?
I would really like to learn to Scuba Dive, I dont know if the PADI course is the right course. I would like to learn so i can go diving by myself as also be able to instruct other people to dive. I would like to learn to dive in the uk so i dont have to spend too much on travel. I live near Edinburgh so anywhere around there would be great. Any ideas? thanks xx
PADI is the most popular agency. They don’t currently have a solo certification though. You can work your way up through the ranks there and then take SDI’s ( Scuba Diving International) solo course. SDI will recognize your previous PADI certs. As for the Instructior part of your question, going PADI, since it is marketed world wide, will enhance your prospects of employment.
There are three PADI shops in the Edinburgh area.

Look in the local directory or search the internet. Deepblue Scuba do it. Check out there website.

A PADI course is your best bet, since it’s the most widely recognised professional scuba diving qualification in the UK. Visit link below for a school based in Edinburgh; It came well recommended to me from a professional diver.
