Where can i buy vintage scuba diving gear?

i would like to purchase some vintage dual hose regulators and wetsuits and nobody at the scuba shops sells them. I’ve checked out the websites online too… does anyone have any they don’t need anymore? I will take them off your hands for free if in good working condition! ..

Ebay is the best bet but expect to pay a little although vintage scuba gear isn’t normally used much any more so it can be picked up quite cheaply. Just remember that it is hard to keep vintage gear in good working condition as the parts are hard to come by and servicing is difficult so most vintage gear cannot be used diving any more.

scuba diving-fins?

What are the best fins, brand name, for wet
tsuit diving?

THERE IS SCUBAPRO, CRESSI, MARES, AQUALUNG, ETC.
AS THERE ARE MANY TO CHOOSE FROM, I WOULD SUGJEST A PAIR THAT’S NOT TOO HEAVY SO AS NOT TO
PUT TOO MUCH STRESS ON YOUR LEGS WHEN YOUR DIVING FOR A SPECIFIC LENGTH OF TIME…

I was wondering if i could buy all of the Scuba Diving equipment for my own use? Do you need a permit? etc?

Yep, you could actually. You could buy just about anything to do with scuba other than a rebreather rig. The kicker is, to use any of it, you need a C card to fill a tank. All those thousands of dollars you spent on gear is pretty pointless unless you can use it with a 10 dollar air fill. No shop will fill a tank without knowing you are a certified diver. The profit simply isn’t worth the liability. That simple and a very good control measure. It’s worked for years. Greed in this case works well. It costs more to deal with litigation than to skip a C card check.

I smoked for the last 5 years (approx 15 a day), starting when i was 18 and giving up two months ago when I was 23. Since then I’ve decided to start scuba diving, i have to sit a medical in a couple of days and wondered if i am likely to have any trouble? Also, smoking for only 5 years is this likely to effect my diving at all? Is it still just as safe?

I don’t have asthma, or any breathing problems for that matter, I am quite fit and healthy, i had bronchitis a couple winters ago and had pneumonia when i was 13.. Anyone who knows about this kind of thing if they can help me out that would be great! Thanks.

i used to have asthma, i don’t anymore. I used to have it so bad id have to use those polmoaide breathing machines when the inhaler wouldn’t be enough..

I have smoked regularly for 8 years now and scuba dive on occasion i have never had a problem.
