I’m looking to get SCUBA certified before traveling to Australia. There is a medical questionnaire you must fill out before hand that includes asking if you get motion sickness. I don’t personally think I get it bad enough to possibly preclude me from SCUBA diving. However, I do get sick on roller coasters, and occasionally my husbands terrible stop-go driving has made me queasy. Do you think that is something that should preclude me?

It probably won’t be an issue, lots of divers have some form of motion sickness. The purpose of the medical history form is to identify conditions that you should consult a medical professional about before diving, so just because you answer ‘Yes’ to a question does not automatically disqualify you from becoming certified.
