Is SCUBA Diving better at Palm Beach Gardens or Naples, FLA?

We are trying to pick a vacation spot in Florida. Our choices are Palm Beach Gardens on the Atlantic Coast or Naples on the Gulf Coast. We are looking to go in either May or October.

i would say palmbeachgardens. palm beach county has sunk a lot of ships offshore.
If you can go to Belize it’s the BEST in the world for diving

The east coast of Florida is generally better than the west coast because it is shallower on the west coast. In order to get to anything of interest, you have to take a fairly long boat ride out – just because the water is too shallow even for artificial reef development.
There are a fair number of wrecks that have been sunk off the east coast and the reef system up by Jupiter (north of Palm Beach gardens) is fairly healthy. We went with the Jupiter Dive Center a few years ago to a reef they call ‘Area 51’ and it was just as good as reefs we’ve seen in the Caribbean (maybe not as good as Belize but nice).
Of course, it all depends on what kind of diving you prefer. The good dives on the east coast tend to be deeper and if you want variety, make sure you are certified to at least an Advanced Open Water level – otherwise your choices will be limited.
