sick after scuba diving?

When i was on vacation in Maui I went scuba diving with my dad, my brother, and myself for about an hour, only like 15 feet or less under the water.
The day after both my dad and I got sick.
He has a really bad runny nose, and I got that and a cough.
Could this be a result from the dive?
And if so, why?
Colds are caused by viruses however, the diving could’ve lowered your immunity
It’s probably a result of a cold that you both caughtfrom someone. It it doesn’t get better in a week , go see your doctor. Drink plenty of fluids.

Very unlikely. I mean it’s possible, sure, but you haven’t been struck by lightening recently have you? You probably just got exposed at the same time. And your brother got lucky.
