It would be cool to try out the rangers but there with the army. After boot camp I want to try both parachuting and scuba diving. Theres recon but I think you have to have time in infantry to try out for that. What could I do?
to get jump status the you will have to go to airborne school in georgia (i,ve seen it done )and then scuba diving then you might have to go to the navy diving school.and then a couple of years of infantry the you can try out for force recon .
Ha ha. You’re not going to those schools as a regular grunt kid. No chance in hell. Recon is your only bet.

they guy up above me is right, only recon gets to do those things and are sent to those schools, no one else. if you believed that when you signed up, then you got screwed. you will just be a plain ole ground pounder. hahaha you can be contract recon though.

your best bet would be to do it in the civilian world.
you may not get any cool badges or metals but at least you did it.
civilian jumps are higher then the basic parachuting done by the army
as the army jumps from 800-1200. where as in the civilian its i forgot how many thousands of feet.
you wont be able to do any jumps with full combat gear and chances are higher of getting hurt
jumping at 800 ft because if your chute doesn’t open you have about 3 secs to get your reserve open
if not ..then your dead. in a halo jump you have minutes i believe.
same for scuba..
