He appears to just be a very skilled recreational diver that’s watched a few internet videos and developed his own way of doing things that sort of resemble the GUE (DIR) methods. He definately needs to take a Fundies class and put that effort to good use. I think with a dedicated GUE instructor he will do just fine. Certainly better than most rec divers I see out there. At least he has buoancy control! LoL

There is no such thing as elitism when it comes to safety. It is completely in the interests of the diver to be safe and reduce risk to a minimum, because your life overrules all other considerations.
The issue is that different people argue that there are different ways to be safe.

the only neg point i wld see is the dsmb launch
a) i do not like to use reels for that – jamming to easy, there was a death not too long ago on the a doria because of this, – fingerspools are much better. and b) i prefer to fill the dsmb out of my wing as this way i do not change boyancy when filling the bag ( on oc maybe not that bigger deal but on ccr a totally different story)

Who the made you SCUBA God? I’ve had to take my rig off hundreds of times so I could fit through a hole. If you can’t doff and don your entire rig underwater, you are too unskilled to be a diver. And why pray tell would you take a deco bottle inside a wreck anyway? Afraid a fish will steal it?

you are an absoluite idiot you never ever leave your deco gas outside a wreck mate you shouldnt be diving if u follow procedures like that , if you cant get in the hole fully kitted the hole is to small and you should not penetrate.

The skill is practicing removing and replacing deco tanks. in the open ocean you leave your deco tanks outside the wreck when penetrate. That is what he is demonstrating.
Tech Diving means …
Tech Diving means decompression. He is being smart and keeping his skills sharp at shallow water so he doesn’t kill himself at depth
