Nitrogen narcosis …
Nitrogen narcosis is an effect on the brain of gaseous nitrogen that occurs to divers who go below 100 FSW. Nitrogen is an inert gas 79% in air that it does not take part in energy transformations. It is the gas that causes nitrogen narcosis.
Bends/decompression sickess and are the results on the whole body of too rapid decompression/assent.
I am tired …
I am tired of Expert Village RANDOMLY saying stuff.
@funksitup I thought it was 30 lol.. but then again, been a while.
this guy is so …
this guy is so wrong. Everything that comes out of his mouth in this video is complete crap. is he drunk or what?
never hold your breath when moving up in the water column… not just surfacing.
bends and nitrogen narcosis are two completely difeerent things/
water conducts heat 22 times more efficiently than air
expert? wow!
A great example of …
A great example of why random online tutorials and instructional videos should always be approached with caution. The information presented in this clip is incomplete and inaccurate and should NOT be taken as fact.
Dive safe, train often.
This is totally …
This is totally WRONG AND INCORRECT!!!!!!!!! Narcosis and the bends are two totally different things…..Narcosis is what you get when you are too deep for too long…..you start to feel giddy and almost like you are drunk…the bends is what you get when you ascend too quickly and you get too much nitrogen in you blood stream…….don’t listen to this guy…
This is horrible …
This is horrible and incorrect. Take it off youtube.
the most important …
the most important rule in scuba..DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH..!!!
Not only is his …
Not only is his information vague it is also wrong. ‘The bends’ is NOT the same as ‘nitrogen narcosis’. This is extremely important and something even entry level divers should be aware of. If he cannot make such a simple distinction I hesitate to trust anything else he says.
expertvillage can …
expertvillage can surely find a better online advice/instructional guy than poor old struggling John…. I’ve seen about 6 of his clips and I’m less than satisfied with his vague info.
