if i get a scuba diving license will i also get a scuba gear for free or will i have to buy one and if not how much do they cost
the fees you pay to obtain your "license" are simply the fees connected with your certification. Your gear will be above and beyond that.
Its been a little while since i bought gear but i would guess.
75$ mask & snorkel
75$ wetsuit
35$ weight belt & weights
100$ fins
150$ BC
300$ regulator
700-800$ total
like i said that’s just the basics and I could be low, I havent bought anything in years. Unless you plan to dive more than once or twice a year, just rent the gear.

Think those prices are a little low. But depends where you are. In cold water the suit could be very expensive. In very warm water 60 bucks.
Regs: 300- 1000
BCD: 200- 1000
Fins: 25- 300
Quality, amount of use, new/second hand are all considerations.

That’s only for your license.
You’ll need to purchase the gears separately. There are many brands available and same like other goods, they come in low-end and high-end goods. So the prices varies.
If you are not intending to be a hardcore diver or a frequent diver, it is not advisable to buy the gears unless if you are multi rich. Then I won’t stop you. But if you are just a regular diver that goes diving during your holidays or whatsoever, then you can just rent the gears from the dive shops every time you go diving.

The answers regarding the price of gear are about right, and no the price of your "license" does not include gear.
After you are certified you may rent gear at any dive shop.
Because there are so many manufacturers, it will be best to rent some gear to try different brands.
After you try diff. equipment then if you want to buy at least you know what you are interested in.
With diving gear you really do get what you pay for.
Renting for the first year is really the way to go.
