ok
ill give you the best way, just go to the front of your hotel you will find taxis waiting there just deal with any of them pick nice one ang deal with him, he will take you in your life trip. believe me, they are specialists and not more than 250 or 300 $ maximum for all the trip
you will be paying the same almost if you go by any other way.
nice trip
Hi I´ve just get back from cairo and if you have 7 days is more than enough are you going alone or with a group of friends?
I recommend you make the arrangements before living and you can take a train to get to the most important cities in egypt or take a boat by the nile river ,about scuba dive you can take a day tour from cairo to get to the red sea

7 days are enough and you will see first the pyramids sphinx and museums will take no more than 2 days then you can fly to sharm el sheikh in the red sea it will cost you almost nothing then for scuba diving ask for a place called (ras mohamed) it’s awesome anyway wherever u dive in sharm el sheikh it will be awesome do not forget to visit dahb it’s ony 2 hours away from sharm el sheikhand enjoy the beautiful natural scenes and also you can dive there if you want it’s beautiful this and all this is another 3 days and then go to luxor and aswan to enjoy the ancient egyptian mouments for the rest of your vacation

personal experince
Ahmed e: $300!! that’s way too MUCH for a drive/tour guide/ whatever.
Now hotel rooms prices are just going down, economic crisis, so my opininon is you just book 4days/3 nights at any 4 or 5 stars hotel ( i will reccommend 4 stars, as you wanna go there for scuba diving and safari and whatever and not to enjoy your sauna, although 4 stars is not bad at all and you will save much money).and for the other 3 days, you do the same at any hotel in cairo, regarding the sightseeing you can ask at the hotel, be 100% sure they will have the right person for you.and there is another solution which i recommend, you just save your money, take a cab ( take cairo cab because the others will make you pay a fortune) and ask him to drive you to the pyramids/ Egyptian museum/cairo tower or whereever you wanna go, and you could manage to have the tour yourself.

Egyptian living in Egypt, 100% sure that these people(tour guides/taxi drivers/bazar men) are eager to rob the tourists and sell them nothing for a fortune.
In Cairo the must see are: The museum of Cairo and the pyramids. This can be done in one day.
In Luxor the must see are: The valley of the Kings, of the Queens, Deir el Bahary temple, Karnak temple, Luxor temple. 2 days are enough.
Then you still have 4 days to enjoy scuba diving and all water activities, go to Sharm el Sheikh. From there make a day trip to Ram Mohamed which is the best place in the world for diving.
All transportation must be done by plane. They leave early in the morning, the trip to any destination is about an hour and you arrive at a good hour to start your day.
Buy the tour with all its details in your country. The agency in your country will relay the tour to a local Egyptian agency that they trust according to previous services. This way when you arrive you will have every thing booked for you. This way the agency responsible for all details is still the one that sold you the tour in your country.
Have a nice time and good luck.
