What are some good travel spots…..we are looking to get away a bit this year?
Okay we are looking to take a few short trips over the next year.
Some with the dogs and some without.
We are planning on taking a trip to the moutains (well Gatlinburg TN) with the dogs because that is very pet friendly.
I do want to take a short trip to the beach (once we move we will be about 90 miles from the Atlantic Coast on a good day) so any good beaches in NC, SC, GA, or FL
And then we want to take one more……I love Chicago so I’m thinking of maybe going there for a few days. My husband has never been there.
Any other suggestions and fun things to do (we are thinking little 3 or 4 day weekend trips.)
Thanks.
This past year we went to: The Caribbean, Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York City.
(The Carribean was our Honeymoon and Washington DC/New York was a graduation gift)
We are a little tight on cash so we want short easy get aways.
Also has anyone been to Kings Island in Cincinatti (I haven’t been since I was a little girl) do you think that would be worth the trip?
Just looking for ideas.
Its just the two of us (and the dogs)
(But we won’t be taking the dogs on every trip)
Just looking to take maybe 3 little trips
thanks
Kings Island is okay, nothing great, but not bad. It gets really crowded. But to give you some ideas, Williamsburg Virginia is the place I suggest. It has everything in an 45min drive. Historic downtown (already there) Yorktown (4 min) Jamestown (3min) Virginia Beach (45 min) Richmond VA (45 min). Its the type of town you can walk alone in at night and not feel a bit scared. Other places, maybe Kitty Hawk NC? Tallahassee FL?
