Do you have to have a license to go Scuba Diving?
im going on vacation soon and i wanna go scuba diving but i wanna know if i need anything like a license. Or can i just do it?
THANKS:)
No, you do not have to have a license to go scuba diving. However, you must have passed a scuba certification course and have your certification to rent equipment or get pressurized air in your tanks.
There are small tourist companies that will, for a fee, take you diving while providing you with equipment. They give you some very limited lessons and, of course, your diving experience is also very limited.
So, basically, without that certification you don’t have the freedom that a licensed diver has.
I went on vacation in Zanzibar 4 years ago, I did not need any license for scuba diving.

IF you are not certified they won’t let you do as much(maybe a little) but if you want to go off with a friend and no Dive Master you must be certified, and you must be certified to rent equipment from most places. SCUBA certifications are generally kind of expensive, but so worth it!!

At most resort locations or tourist spots, the local dive shops will offer a "Discover Sucba Diving" or even a resort typ course. The resort courses are only vaild for the duration of your stay.
Both will teach you the very basics of diving. The diving experience is very limited, but still very cool if you haven’t done it before.

NO if you arrive at a resort and want to have a go then you can, its called "try dive" but you will have to go with another diver, normally a Divemaster. they will talk you through the equipment and give you very basic instruction..
after that you will be take to the place where they dive either off the beach or from a dive boat. they will do every thing for you set your BCD and hold onto you. slowly you will go down to a few feet. and have a look a round, some places will do it in a pool, not very exciting, looking at tiles.
