I’m going on vacation next week and we plan on going scuba diving but i’ve never done it before. I’m a good swimmer but what can i do to be a good scuba diver!
Since you’re not certified, and you didn’t mention that you’re taking a class, I’d say you will be doing what’s called a Resort Dive. You will be with a certified instructor the whole time and will probably be less than 20 feet down.
Mostly, relax and have fun. Your instructor will tell you everything you need to know.

You need to go for a certification course and you don’t necessarily need to be a good swimmer to be a good diver. Just pay attention to the theory and practical lessons.
Whatever the case, remember the Golden Rule of scuba diving – Breathe continuously. Never hold your breath.
